Carrie Koenig
Assistant Vice President, Marketing, Communication and Wellness
Carrie E. Koenig, MBA, joined MedStar Visiting Nurse Association in 2010. As assistant vice president of marketing, communication and wellness, Koenig leads all internal and external communication strategies, media relations, web, community relations and philanthropic efforts. Koenig also oversees the immunization and wellness division, integrating community relations with MedStar VNA's goal to support health and wellness in the communities served.
Koenig has years of experience across the MedStar Health system, starting with MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital's public relations and marketing department in 2000. In 2004, she earned a position as director of internal outreach in the operational communication department at MedStar Health corporate. During her MedStar career, Koenig earned over 20 international and regional awards for successful implementation of internal communication strategies.
Koenig earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication with a specialization in Public Relations and a Certificate in Marketing from Towson University. She earned her Masters degree in Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland. Koenig is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators. She serves on the Board of Directors for Baltimore Mental Health Systems.
